This is at the site of a fatal car accident that happened about five years ago. The car hit a light pole and three of the occupants were killed. All of the victims were teenagers.
This tragedy had a tremendous imact on the community.
I remember this crash too. We have military to remember today, but I think it's important to remember ALL whose lives were cut short. Its a great picture.
Such a poignant reminder to everyone in the community. I hope it serves to keep their tragic deaths in the minds of young drivers when they get behind the wheel.

ReplyDeleteI saw the shot in EV and I really like it Linda. It is very simple, but it tells a profound story.
ReplyDeleteI saw this on the forum too and find it's simplicity moving. I hope the teens driving really see it and what it means.
ReplyDeleteA unique memorial - so sad that they lost their lives when they'd barely begun.
ReplyDeleteA different type of memorial and hopefully one that reminds all teens to drive carefully and that they are not immortal. Great take.
ReplyDeleteThat's tremendously powerful Linda.
ReplyDeleteI can't add to what's already been said about this simple message. Very moving.
