I downloaded the free trial of the topez adjust filter, so I tried it out on this photo.
Filter + crop (above)
I really don't need another plug in, but I may not have the will power to resist. It was so easy to use.
On a different subject--I upgraded to PSE 7. At first I thought that the new masks were great, until I looked at the photos at 100%. There is no feathering on the selection so the start and end points of the mask are readily visible. Now that I think about it, maybe there is a way to tell it to automatically feather the selection. Maybe I will post that question. Anyhow, I have about a million actions in PSE 6 that I will never have the time to transfer, so I rarely even open 7. That was a complete waste of $50. I am very disappointed with it.
Hi, Linda. Nice images!
ReplyDeleteIf you want the Topaz filter(s), use this coupon code: stuckincustoms and you can get 10% off your order!
As for transferring actions, I thought the same thing...BUT...without all the extra actions, layers styles, etc., PSE loads and responds much faster. So I work in PSE 7 until I need something I've bogged down PSE 6 with, then I save and reopen there. Just a thought so you can feel the love for your $50...
I haven't made the jump to 7 from 6 yet, and from your description, I am glad I haven't!
ReplyDeleteI've heard a lot of people recommend skipping versions. Usually there isn't enough value added to bother with the upgrade to the next version.
ReplyDeleteI have Topaz but haven't used it much. I'll be interested in seeing what you do with it, as you seem to use a pretty light, natural touch which I like.
I really like what the Topaz filter did to the image.
ReplyDeleteThe filter made a big difference in your photo, very nice!
