I've driven past this barn, every day, for years, and I never even noticed it. It is a little back from the road, but, definitely, visible. The original photo is full of green grass and the sky is blue, but I though a soft black and white might work well.

Love that picture--- especially in black and white---gives the feel of a Depression Era photo
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done! love it!
ReplyDeleteExcellent photo and I think black and white adds to the abandoned theme.
ReplyDeleteYou wanna buy? Handyman's delight little bit of paint and it'll be as good as new, a Bargain!
ReplyDeleteI would actually like to see the original color image. In black and white, it blends into the background. But maybe that's the point. It's abandoned by everyone except the land which is reclaiming it.
ReplyDeleteBut I think a little contrast, like the green of the grass, but still the grayness of a black and white sky and dull shack.
Nice B&W. It's amazing what we are seeing after only six weeks. Imagine what we will be seeing by the summer!!
ReplyDeleteAbandoned for sure. I like the b/w, the scrubby trees seem to be leaning in sympathy with the barn.
ReplyDeleteI love barns! I grew up playing in barns! The state of this poor barn, probably with so much history, makes me a little sad. But you've captured it beautifully, Linda!
ReplyDeleteI love this picture but would also like to see the original.
